About: Liu Yuqi (刘羽琦) or also known as Izumi, earned her title of "Small Heavenly Queen of Adverts" after appearing in a series of real estate and beverage magazine adverts. In 2006, she won the National Football Babe Competition, now she's popularly known as the "Most Beautiful Chinese Woman on the Web" after showing off her assets on various entertainment websites.
As a youth Yuqi lived in Guangzhou and Shanghai for several years, then moved to Beijing at the age of 15 to pursue her showbiz dreams. At the beginning of her new life in Beijing, she struggled to find a job anywhere in the city due to so many people who had the same dream as hers. Finally a year later when she was about to give up, Rayli (瑞麗), a magazine scout spotted her on the street and this started her modeling career. In 2006, she signed a contract with Beijing-based In Media Entertainment Company and released her first single on the Internet on May 25, 2007. In October 2009 she signed a contract with Avex, a Japanese entertainment company, and took on the Japanese name, Izumi. This is a common ploy for Chinese models to cash in on the mature Japanese market for glamour modeling. Apparently, Yuqi also had a lot of plastic surgery according to some website.
